3. Taking two teaspoons of slightly warm honey is an effective home remedy for cough.

4. A concoction prepared by boiling extracts of ginger and garlic and cloves in water is very effective in treating coughs. The syrup can be taken three times a day for good results.

5. One or two teeth can be kept in the mouth and sucked gently to avoid irritation of the throat followed by paroxysms of coughing.
