T in the park 2010

T In The Park 2010 is an essential date on any music lover’s calendar.

Held at Balado Airfield, Kinross-shire, between Friday 9th and Sunday 11th July, this 3-day festival is headlined by some real musical heavyweights.

Friday sees Muse taking the top spot with her rock or stadium fill brand. Singer and guitarist Matt Bellamy has been hailed as one of the UK’s greatest talents for years and his band never disappoints.

On Saturday, self-confessed rapper and bad boy Eminem is the finale of the show with Sunday’s closing party headlined by Kasabian rockers who have just been nominated for three awards by MOJO magazine readers.

Another highlight, IMHO, would be the chance to see the legendary Madness headlining the Radio One / NME stage. Expect to hear some great ska / pop classics like ‘It Must Be Love, Our house, Baggy Trouser and The Prince mixed with the usual Madness antics.

Stereophonics have recently released a new album titled ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’. They will hit the main stage just before Eminem along with Paolo Nutini, Vampire Weekend, The Proclaimers, Newton Faulkner and Scouting for Girls.

Paloma Faith, the wonderfully quirky singer / performer, is supporting Muse of the Friday with The Big Pink.

In addition to the 3 main stages, there is also the King Tuts Wah Wah stage, (Calvin Harris, Mumford and Sons), The Red Bull Jam Future stage, (Echo and the Bunnymen, Ash, The Drums) and the Slam tent, ( Carl Cox, Plastikman) Plus a host of acts appearing over the weekend including Chipmunk, Perl and the Puppets, Unicorn Kid, Kid Adrift, and The Boy Who Trapped The Sun.

Among your favorite artist, (or should it be when the artists you don’t like are in), you can stroll through the amusement park or the cinema where you can decide for yourself which movies to watch. Voting will open sometime before the event and the most popular movies will be shown.

There will also be two Healthy T areas, one at the music arena and one at camp. Relax on large cushions or bask in the sun (fingers crossed) on the benches while you taste great food from around the world.

Massages are also offered with many different massage styles to choose from costing between £ 10 and £ 30! Negotiate!

Two refresh and care stations with toilets, hairdryers, showers, and stylish hair straighteners are also available!

Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of market stalls selling just about everything you need to make your weekend memorable, but take a look at the ‘Essentials’ section on the T in the Park website to avoid paying for things. that you already have. in your attic!

Have fun and enjoy!
