Penis protection for the winter nudist

Many people find the nudist lifestyle very liberating. They often extol the virtues of experiencing the world around them directly on their skin, without the artificial barrier of clothing between them and Nature. The way the sunlight feels, how they experience the breeze, the difference between various types of herbs that are rubbed against the skin, it’s all part of the nudist life for many. But during the winter, the nudist may need to take precautions, and men may need to protect their penile health from winter-related problems by practicing proper penile protection strategies.

summer too

Not that the male nudist doesn’t have to worry about penis protection in the warmer months. When the sun is hot, the skin on the penis needs to be protected from sunburn just like the skin on any other part of the body. And the penis that brushes against poison ivy or poison oak will not be a happy penis.

Activities

But in the winter, the greatest danger to the health of the penis becomes intensely cold weather. Due to the cold (and ice and snow), many nudists retreat to indoor-only nudist activities until warm weather returns. But there are many organized outdoor nudist events during the winter. Polar plunges (jumping into icy waters) are popular and slightly more dangerous than plunges where people wear bathing suits. Naked skiing, tobogganing and snowboarding are becoming more and more popular. Some hardy souls still enjoy playing volleyball in the winter, and it’s not unusual for a group of stripper friends to get together for an impromptu game of basketball. And, of course, simply walking around naked (as long as it’s indoors) is an option at any time of the year.

penis protection

Since some male nudists will continue to enjoy outdoor activities at least at some point during the winter, what are some penis protection tips they should follow?

– Limit exposure. Just as the delicate skin of the penis should not be exposed to brutal sunlight for an extended period in the summer, it should also not be exposed to freezing temperatures for a long time. Moderation is key, and the colder it is, the less time your penis needs to be out.

– Heat it up. Before you venture outdoors, warm up your penis. This may mean waiting until the last minute to undress or wearing warm, tight underpants to simply venturing out. Outdoors, it may be worth rubbing your penis from time to time to keep it warm. This is easy to do when alone or with supportive friends; however, since rubbing the penis often leads to an erection, and masturbation is often considered, this is not really an option in nudist groups, where genital manipulation is frowned upon.

– Bring cover-up. It may be worth having some form of cover (a robe, a towel, a pair of underwear) in case the cold becomes unbearable and one has strayed too far from the shelter.

– Watch out for signs of frostbite. The last thing a guy wants is a frozen penis, so know the warning signs. If the penis gets prickly and then goes numb; turns very red or later turns white, pale, or bluish; or becomes hard and waxy, then frostbite may have occurred. Basically, if itching or numbness occurs, or the penis becomes unnaturally red, it’s time to go in before any real damage is done.

The male nudist who practices proper penile protection should also make sure to include the daily application of a top-tier penile health cream in his regimen. (Health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven to be gentle and safe for skin). Winter weather can dry out skin, so a cream that includes a combination of moisturizers, like shea butter and vitamin E, is a great option. The skin will be even more protected if the cream also contains a powerful antioxidant, such as alpha lipoic acid, to protect it from the ravages of unwanted oxidative stress.
