NGP (Next Generation Portable)

Sony unveils its powerful new NGP (Next Generation Portable) home console with graphics technology. Next Generation Portable or abbreviated as NGP is the latest upcoming portable game console with more exciting features. NGP is the new handheld console with dual analog joysticks and an impressive 50-inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Display) high-definition multi-touch screen with approx. 16 million colors. It looks like a PSP and many called it PSP2 but it is not a PSP2. It contrasts with Apple’s iPhone 4 and seems to be easier to use.

Unlike Nintendo 3DS, Sony NGP does not offer three-dimensional views, but has two touch screens, i.e., a 5-inch multi-touch organic light-emitting screen as the front screen and a multi-touch panel at the rear. Sony claims that the touchpad on the rear will allow gamers to directly interact with games in three dimensions. The next feature it offers is the dual cameras, one at the front and one at the rear. Another NGP feature is Wi-Fi like Sony’s PSP console, but added 3G and built-in GPS, ie location tracking technologies. So now players can connect to the network outside of hotspots as well with this feature. One more feature is the battery life. Since NGP prepared the OLED display, it should help keep battery life high. Another good thing in NGP is that it doesn’t have UMD drive and that’s quite nice because UMD drive tends to be deafening and also adds load to drive.

Now, if you’re worried about what you’ll do with your old games, Don’t Worry Sony NGP will play old PSP games and a bit of PS2 games like Killzone, Uncharted, WipEout, LittleBigPlanet, Call of Duty, Hustle Kings and much more. Sony claims that you will be able to monitor the NGP screen clearly from any direction. So this will be more exciting. Sony anticipated making its NGP debut at the end of 2011… We are all looking forward to this new console with even more enthusiasm.
