The book is heavy enough to read cover to cover in one sitting. I had trouble even getting past the first chapter. Don’t get me wrong, the book is neither boring nor lacks substance. Rather, it is packed with the personal experiences of these 14 salespeople who forced me to read the phone transcripts very carefully in order to fully digest the messages they convey.

The personal successes of these individuals are truly inspiring. Some of the stories like those told by Jermaine Giggs and Joel Christopher have a closer note to me, as I had the chance to personally get up and close with them when they stopped by in Singapore during an internet marketing seminar in 2007.

It took me almost a week to read the 260-page book, but it was worth every minute spent reading it. There is a common message repeated by all successful salespeople.

The message they are saying can be summed up in 5 short points

  • Have a plan/guideline for what you want to do now, 5 years from now, 20 years from now, etc.
  • Have a support team to help you and outsource all the things you are not competent at.
  • Focus on your strengths and build on them.
  • take action, not just think and then procrastinate
  • Be focused and positive in your outlook.

Overall, the book was inspiring and a great motivational tool, but it fell short of really workable game plan sketches that one person could model.

To read about each of his personal experiences, I strongly suggest you get your own copy of E-millions.
