Google apps are taking over the world! With good reason, the new advances are simply unfathomable in some cases. There are so many things that I never would have thought of but bring so much comfort.
Google thinks of everything, starting from the basics like email. Gmail is brilliant in the ways of navigation, being a person who gets excited by the little things. The memory just for email is very useful. It’s great for filtering out all the icky spam, some people get annoyed with the ads on the sides, but it’s really not a big deal.
The G1 Droid Phone was my first purchase of anything “techie” other than my laptop. I’m still learning a lot, I turn to my “pro techs” for advice all the time! The information out there is immense. But when I got the G1 I jumped on it and it was self explanatory. HA! Although it took me a while to figure out how to forward text messages (long press on the screen, then select where you want the message to go). I did not want to read the instructions but to discover these things on my own.
The ability to download many different apps is by far the best. Applications for a wide range of concepts, from metal detectors to barcode scanners. You can download books or articles with the latest updated news. Droid apps that translate languages for you, exchange currency, help you maintain your budget, and allow you to access subway schedules for anywhere in the world.
