1. “Defeating the Dark Angels” by Charles H. Kraft
For those of you who are looking for very good, practical. step-by-step knowledge on how to free people from demon spirits – this book, in my opinion, is one of the best ever written on this subject. The Bible tells us to cast out demons, but it doesn’t tell us exactly how to do it.
This man is a true pioneer in this field and has now provided the Body of Christ with an incredible amount of knowledge and revelation in this area. He covers everything from how demons are allowed to attach themselves to some people, to how to find and break their legal rights so you can then successfully expel them. This book will become a classic on this subject if it isn’t already. On a scale of 1 to 10, this book is a solid 10. For those of you looking to get into true deliverance ministry for the Lord, I highly recommend adding this book to your arsenal.
2. “Healing Through Deliverance – Volumes 1 & 2: The Practice of Deliverance Ministry” by Peter Horrobin
Another very good comprehensive and complete analysis on the ministry of delivery. The previous author, Charles Kraft, gives his highest endorsement to these 2 books. Flight. 1 deals with the biblical basis for being able to have a deliverance ministry from the Lord. This author goes into great detail about the earthly ministry that Jesus walked with and how Jesus has specifically commissioned his Body to cast out demons as he himself did. This first volume will give you all the biblical foundations and authority we have as believers to deal with demons when necessary.
Flight. 2 goes into the actual details on how to cast demons out of people. It covers all the main basic legal rights demons will use to attack people and how to break those legal rights so you can free people from their deadly clutches. Once again, one of the best books ever written on this subject! I highly recommend both of these books as a companion to Charles Kraft’s book “Defeating Dark Angels.”
3. “The Larson Spiritual Warfare Book” by Bob Larson
Bob Larson is another true pioneer in the field of liberation. I have personally seen this man in action and he is real. He is very anointed and very knowledgeable in this area.
This book is 481 pages long and covers many of the areas of the occult that are drawing people into the kingdom of Satan and his demons like sheep being led to the slaughter. He goes into great detail in the areas of spiritual warfare and ends the book with how to perform a deliverance.
4. “How to Cast Out Demons: A Basic Guide” by Doris Wagner
This is another very good book that gives you a good step by step process to rid people of demons. Doris is very thorough and thorough in her explanations of how to do a real release and she is also another true pioneer in this field. She has learned a lot from the Lord by entering this area. She also covers a lot of the legal rights demons will use to latch onto people and gives very specific instructions on how to break their legal rights so you can really free people from control and influence.
One of the things that I really like about this book is that it gives you a really good checklist and questionnaire to use when you ask people about their past. You have to figure out how demons could have gotten into someone in the first place, and with the checklist and quiz she provides, you’ll have a much better chance of finding out exactly what that legal right she’s allowing you may be. that demon remains attached to that person and continues to torment and attack him. Again, just another very good and solid book on this topic.
5. “Pigs in the Living Room” by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond
This book is already considered a classic by many today in the area of demon deliverance. This book was written in 1973 and many deliverance ministers today have read and studied this husband and wife team. These were two of the early pioneers in this field and there is a lot of practical, step-by-step knowledge on how to rid people of demons.
With this being one of the first books written on this subject, I would also recommend this book to anyone who really wants to learn how to do all of this. They share their great knowledge in this area with you and there is a lot of information from some of the cases they were actually involved in. This is real live information and knowledge straight from the real battlefield.
6. “Unmasking the Jezebel Spirit” by John Paul Jackson
This book may be one of the best ever written on the Jezebel spirit. This particular spirit specializes in infiltrating different churches, and every pastor and deliverance minister needs to know what this spirit is and exactly how it operates and how it likes to settle in to do its work. Many churches have been totally ruined and destroyed as a result of this deadly spirit operating through some of the actual members of their churches.
This book will give you some incredible examples of how this spirit can attach itself to certain people and how it can influence these people to try to destroy the leadership within the church. Many pastors have lost their entire ministries as a result of not knowing how this deadly spirit can operate within their own ranks. This is required reading for every pastor and church leader.
7. “The Power of Blood” by Maxwell Whyte
This was the first book that opened my eyes to the power of begging for the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection. This is just a little 92 page paperback, but the information in this book is mind blowing. This man gives real-life examples of how he learned to invoke the Blood of Jesus, the biblical rationale we have for using it, and some of the dramatic miracles he actually experienced in his own ministry once he started doing it. .
There aren’t many good books on how to invoke the blood of Jesus, so I highly recommend adding this book to your arsenal if you really want to gain more knowledge on this topic. This book, in my opinion, will become one of the classics on this subject despite the fact that it is only 92 pages long.
8. “The Blood and the Glory” by Billye Brim
This is book #2 that I would highly recommend to those of you who want to learn more about pleading for the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection in your own personal life. This woman gives some powerful examples in her own life of how pleading for the blood of Jesus actually helps save the lives of members of her own family. She also goes into the biblical foundations that we have to be able to use the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection.
This woman went into a greater seeking mode with the Lord on this subject once she first found out about it. She will learn much from the insight and knowledge that she was able to gain on this subject. Again, since there aren’t many good books on this particular subject, she recommends that she add this book to her God library if she really wants to learn more about it.
9. “The Word, the Name, the Blood” by Joyce Meyer
The third book that I would highly recommend on this subject is the book that Joyce Meyer herself has written on this subject. She also discovered the power of pleading for the blood of Jesus in her own personal life and what a powerful weapon it really is in the hands of a true Spirit-filled believer.
She also enters into the power that is in the name of Jesus and the power that is in the Word of God itself. This is also a very good basic Spiritual Warfare 101 book to add to your arsenal if you really want to learn how to become a good soldier for Jesus Christ.
I personally believe that Joyce Meyer is one of the best teachers we have in the Body of Christ today and you can’t go wrong with all the books she has written to date.
Although there is not much talk about deliverance in churches today, more than 25% of Jesus’ miracles were some form of deliverance. I consider these books to be the best on the subject of spiritual warfare.
