All you have to do is type “beginner guitar lessons” into a search engine and you’ll get plenty of sites offering free lessons. I’m taking free lessons right now that I found on one of these free sites. So far so good. I can play some chords. The hardest part of learning guitar for free online is keeping up with the practice. It is very important in the beginning to never skip a day of practice, or you will basically have to start over. That’s what happened to me. I was busy with the kids and work and didn’t practice for a week, well when I picked up the guitar I forgot how to play most of the chords! Playing the guitar is not like riding a bike! If you stop playing, you will forget!
You have to be a very good motivator to learn to play guitar online, whether it’s free or not. Otherwise, you will quit within the first month. In fact, most beginners give up just before they get good at it. That’s because the initial stage is also the most difficult. You have to wait for calluses to form on your fingers. But once you do, it will be easy.
