It is the first bar in Budapest designed with the philosophy of neo-speakeasy terminology. It’s where Cosmopolitans are made like in Sex and The City, where the James Bond Vesper Martinis are shaken, not stirred, and the Caipirinhas are seriously spicy. If that’s still not enough to tempt your taste buds, the bartenders at Boutiq shake and stir cocktails with Caribbean pink peppercorns, Thai lemongrass, and cardamom vanilla. If you think Tequila Sunrise is the best cocktail in the world, don’t come to this place.
Oscar American Bar is a typically modern American bar that represents a high-quality cocktail culture. It was opened in 1997 and has been a success from day one. Drinks range from whiskeys and wines to regular classics, but they also offer a wide range of strong cocktails, from daiquiris and cosmopolitans to mojitos. The dark and cozy bar is decorated with vintage and vintage movie posters with a long bar and leather director’s chairs. It’s a popular and stylish hangout with a crowd of hip yuppies and expats alike. Most of the friendly staff have been working here since opening, which also contributes to the consistent quality.
