Squishies, Squishies, everywhere!

Squishies, also known as pencil toppers, come in a wide variety of different shapes and colors. They are all animals of one kind or another. As well as being a nice decoration for a pencil, they have become a commercial item among children.

The most popular type of squishy is the Seamania set. The animals in this set are an octopus, a seahorse, a whale, a clown fish, a dolphin, a clam, a puffer fish, a walrus, a lobster and a crab. All of these come in both the original version and a rare version. The rare ones, of course, are harder to find and much more valuable. The rare ones have a slightly different color variation than the originals.

Other soft games include zoomania and junglemania. These sets obviously feature animals that would be found in a zoo or jungle. Some examples of these two sets are a cow, a penguin and an elephant, as well as a parrot, a hippopotamus and a koala. Like previous seamania sets, these sets include original and rare versions. There are a total of twenty different types of animals in these two games alone.

Of the squishy games mentioned above, only the Seamania and Zoomania games feature a glow-in-the-dark version. They are more translucent looking creatures that of course glow in the dark. Like the rare ones, they are very hard to come by and quite valuable to collectors.

Many children buy squishies from vending machines at various restaurants or movie rental stores. They cost between twenty-five and fifty cents each. It purely depends on the probability of which squishy they’ll end up getting, just like you don’t know what color gum you’ll get from a gumball machine.
