Pisces Horoscope Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen

I couldn’t care less about fashion. Ask my wife. However, she had vaguely heard of Alexander McQueen, the Piscean fashion designer, who apparently committed suicide on the eve of his mother’s funeral. And looking at the newspapers, his death is big news. Therefore, it seems appropriate to look at his horoscope and see if astrology can give any clue as to his untimely death.

Alexander McQueen was born on March 17, 1969. We do not have a confirmed time of birth for him, although it is suggested that it was 10:45 p.m.

But whatever time of day or night Alexander McQueen was born, he was a Pisces. In fact, he was born just before a solar eclipse, and he also has the Moon in Pisces, as well as Mercury.

If you want to be a fashion designer, then Pisces is a great star sign. Pisceans are very sensitive and know what looks good on them without having to think about it. They are also able to tune in to larger collective currents, and this puts them in touch with the popular mood.

However, I wouldn’t consider Alexander McQueen to have a happy horoscope.

For one thing, your Sun in Pisces is close to fixed star Scheat, which has a pretty unlucky reputation. Fixed star expert Vivian Robson said of Scheat:

It causes extreme disgrace, murder, suicide and drowning.

However, what really stands out in Alexander McQueen’s horoscope is a conjunction between Venus and Saturn, in Aries. Neither planet functions well in this sign, and at times you might have felt alienated from the people around you.

On the other hand, Venus is the planet of beauty and is intimately connected with fashion. On some level, his preoccupation with fashion was probably a compensation, an attempt to connect with something that was psychologically lacking. Hence the dedication and hard work.

As for the death of Alexander McQueen, there is no doubt that he was going through a rough patch. Since the end of 2008 there has been a stressful opposition aspect between the planets Saturn and Uranus, which has had a negative impact on your Sun and Moon in Pisces.

Also, there is an ancient astrological technique called Professions and according to this system, his natal Venus-Saturn conjunction was being improved to an opposition of his Moon. Prophecies are often used to measure time and suggest that the early months of 2010 could have been troublesome for him.

In astrology, the Moon is connected to the mother, and we have the symbolism of her mother’s death. However, I am not convinced that the astrological situation was disastrous. Alexander McQueen was dealing with some bad energy, but without a confirmed birth time, I don’t think his death was preordained. In other words, he probably had a choice.
