Making a decision to build an MLM business in Asia

This morning, while setting up my computer to do my Zoom meeting, I was feeling a little strange because my work desk is my bed!

Why am I doing a Zoom meeting in my bed?

The reason is because it is Monday morning and my two daughters have their classes online at the same time.

My daughters are occupying my work desk and dining room table, therefore I have to do my meeting online in my bed.

This is bad?

No, I don’t think so because both my husband and I work from home.

We run a successful network marketing business in Asia and have associates in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Hong Kong.

We are used to being with our children 24/7 and at some point I think our children took it for granted that their parents are with them all the time.

And I couldn’t help but think of the few people who get to experience such simple things in life.

I mean, sure a lot of people have their dreams, things on their vision boards and wish lists.

I’m sure they have things they wanted to experience and places to visit.

But really, how many people manage to cross out even a FRACTION of the items on their wish list?

Not many.

Most people never get close.

Instead, they procrastinate.

Thinking … someday I’ll take that vacation.

Someday I’ll drive that because I always wanted to.

At some point I will be able to buy the house of my dreams.

Unfortunately, that day never comes for most people because they are always putting things off for the future.

I have noticed that this is especially true in the network marketing industry.

Network marketers are encouraged to spend time writing down and visualizing their goals.

But when it’s time to get going and build some forward momentum … most come to a standstill.

They are too busy getting ready to get ready!

Truth be told, I’m also no stranger to procrastination.

I cleaned the kitchen instead of following up with a potential client.

I created to-do lists and then reprioritized those to-do lists, instead of doing something on those to-do lists.

I have visited YouTube and Facebook Watch “rabbit holes” on cooking shows, Taiwanese gossip shows, Korean dramas, funny TikTok videos, etc.

I’d rather do something else than work on our business.

In fact, when we first started out in network marketing, we spent over a year making frustratingly little progress before we had our “moment.”

And in that moment we decided to make a BIG change in the way we were doing business.

We decided that instead of looking for inspiration, we were going to relentlessly do all the things we knew we had to do, but we would put it off until tomorrow.

And that’s when everything changed.

So, my question for you is this …

Are you still waiting to start?

Are you putting your dreams on hold, getting ready to get ready?

And if your honest answer is “YES” …

Well then how long are you going to wait?

How long will it be before I put in gear and hit the pedal all the way?

It took more than a year before we made the decision.

And while I have no regrets, my number one goal is to help my downlines get there faster.

Because all the good things our downlines wanted out of life are there for them to take, waiting for them to make the decision to do so.
