Learning: The elixir of youth?

How many times have people told you that you are not the person of this generation? Many parents receive this kind of comments from their children and simply ignore them. So, a question for all those who received this type of comment, did you ever think about what happened to you?

The learning process begins at a very early stage of our life, even without our knowledge. Right after the moment we enter this world, we learn to breathe, then we learn to crawl, and then we learn to walk, and thus our learning process continues. As we grow from babies to children, we take in and learn everything we come across because we feel that everything is so interesting. Later we become teenagers and then some choose to keep their inner child alive, but most decide to go to clubs and parties and thus kill the curious child who yearns to learn something new. Upon graduating from college, we choose a simple job and then move on to a routine life where everything seems perfect.

But after a few years, when we see a video or listen to a song where someone is doing something completely different from what our society expects that person to do, in a corner of our heart we feel, “Why didn’t I try this? “. Most people who have this thought talk themselves into saying “That takes a lot of talent, it’s not my cup of tea”, but what most people don’t see is that when they were babies they never thought like that. They were the ones who cared least about failure. All they wanted was to get up and walk even though they fell a thousand times. So where is the error? Were we dumb as kids or are we actually acting dumb by not trying anything new just because we fear failure or acceptance by society? Think about it.

In the hope that you have thought about the question, I would like to tell you that learning has no limits. It does not matter, you are 5, 55 or 95 years old, learning is a process that was, is and will be regardless of age and only the thought that you cannot learn something will prevent you from learning or trying something new. There is a constant need to learn and update ourselves in this fast-paced life that we all have. Everything we learn is a new asset for us, a new language, a new topic in the field of your interest, anything you think is worth spending your time and learning.

So how does learning act like the elixir of youth? How do you define someone as young? Are you someone whose skin is flawless and has the perfect body shape? Are the actors, actresses or successful entrepreneurs who present themselves as role models? It is not only these people who are young, but also you, if you have the child yearning to learn or try something new. Learning never exhausts the mind; it gives something to think about and develops us from within. In every step of our life we must be constantly improving ourselves; We should never be the same person the next day of our lives. Improving yourself every day by learning something new will keep your mind and body young forever. I guess you are surprised to hear that something as simple as learning something new could make you younger day by day and some may be skeptical about this so-called “Elixir”. So for all those who are skeptical, give it a try. What are you going to lose, nothing, and what are you going to gain, maybe everything you ever wanted.

For all those who think that we can only learn by reading a book or going to class, they must understand that learning can also come from our own experiences. Do you have a new business idea? Go ahead and get started, in the process of going ahead with the business, you learn many things about how to run your business efficiently and what are all the necessary things that you need to implement for it. So it’s all about starting and trying and you never know where you’ll end up.
