The ends of the boomerang should then form a semicircle and its two ends should have a rounded shape. To soften the boomerang plywood, place each end in the steam of a hot pan or coffee pot, then carefully fold it up and out like a flap before letting it dry. It will end up looking like the ends of a horseshoe; actually there is only one difference and that is that it will point up a bit.
Your next step is to sand the boomerang, which will make it more aerodynamic. Also, this allows you to have a smoother finish. Remember to polish the leading and trailing edges. Keep in mind that the tips of the boomerang should be the only ones that are rotated. If the boomerang has become warped, be sure to press or steam it to ensure it is even and completely flat.
