Four super tips to manage your precious time

Every day is 86,400 seconds. Every second counts. Every second that passes is part of the past and cannot be returned any more. All people have access to only 86,400 seconds a day. So why do some people achieve so much more than others? The secret is to manage time and take advantage of every second properly. Here are four great tips for making the best use of your valuable time.

Super tip #1: Get up early

If you think you don’t have time to do what you love or to work towards your dreams and goals, start thinking about getting up early. If you get up at 7 a.m. for work, start by waking up at 6 a.m. By getting up 1 hour earlier every day, you add 365 hours to your yearly schedule to work on those tasks you thought you’d never get a chance to do. Rumi says: “The morning breeze has a secret to tell you.” So, say yes to early morning wake up calls!

Super tip #2: Go on a TV diet

How many hours a day do you spend in front of the television? If it’s more than two hours, then you better think about a TV diet! TV is an energy drain. All these shows, games and movies are ways to get addicted to these social networks. Not only do they drain your energy and take up valuable time, but they also don’t let you focus on what’s worth it. When you go on a TV diet, you’ll notice that you have more time to spend with yourself, your family, or your dreams.

Super Tip #3: Use your car time wisely

How much time do you spend in your car driving every day? According to a 2001 study by the Center for Transportation Analysis, the average time spent in a vehicle was one hour per day. If so, on average each of us spends 365 hours a year in the car. How do you spend your time in the car while driving? Thought? Talking on your cell phone? Listen to radio/music?

My suggestion to you is to use your time in the car wisely. If you don’t have time to read books, you can listen to audiobooks in your car and learn something new. You can listen to motivational speakers and get motivated. In this way, you spend your time in the car in a worthwhile way. If you don’t believe it, try it!

Super Tip #4: Be more productive

Being productive means having the quality or power to produce and give results. It means being efficient by doing more in less time. How can you do more in less time? Focusing on what you need to do and wasting less time. This requires eliminating distractions and noise. What entertainment? Answer emails, check Facebook and Twitter, do 10 different things at once, answer phone calls, eat, watch TV, surf the Internet, chat and much more. By eliminating such distractions, you can use your time much more effectively, complete your actual tasks faster, and therefore be more productive.
