A look at the premium technology of the HTC Sensation

The HTC Sensation is the latest flagship smartphone from the manufacturer. Unsurprisingly, it offers some of the most advanced technology available to HTC. In this article, I will take a look at some of the premium technologies included in this phone and how it benefits the user.

screen
Aside from the likes of the iPhone 4, the HTC Sensation has one of the highest pixel resolutions in a mobile phone at 540x 960. This makes it perfect for multimedia use. This includes playing games, watching videos or viewing photos, and it’s equally at home browsing the web. Of course its functionality as a touch screen is also remarkable. At 4.3 inches, it’s easy to use and very responsive, thanks to the dual-core processor under the hood that provides all the power the S-LCD capacitive touchscreen needs.

Processor
The HTC Sensation is one of the first smartphones to have a dual core processor, and this brings many advantages to the phone. As mentioned, it allows the touchscreen to work quickly, but it also means apps and other software items load instantly and run smoothly. Also, web browsing benefits from this extra power with faster loading times of web pages. Another great advantage of having a dual-core processor is that it allows users to multitask more efficiently. The HTC Sensation is the perfect phone for multitaskers, as the processor can efficiently distribute power to all open apps, which also helps with battery life.

Camera
The HTC Sensation sports an 8-megapixel camera with a resolution of 3264x 2448 pixels, which is second only to a small number of phones like the Nokia N8 with its 12-megapixel unit. The camera has a number of built-in features that allow the user to adjust various settings to obtain the desired results. Autofocus, image stabilization, and face detection are also included. Features like these work behind the scenes to make it easy to take pictures the way you want them, helping them get it right the first time. As you’d expect from a phone of this caliber, the camera can also record video footage and this is in excellent 1080p (high definition) quality, beating many rival phones with its 720p or lower video quality. There is a secondary camera located on the front of the phone and it can be used to take self-portrait photos and make video calls or even as a mirror. This camera works with VGA quality.

Obviously, this article only highlights a small number of the features that HTC Sensation offers. But hopefully it’s given you a taste of the premium technology on offer, so it’s worth taking a closer look when choosing your next smartphone. In fact, in my opinion, it joins the Samsung Galaxy S2 as the best smartphone on the market at the time of writing.
