What exciting news to wake me up this morning. It was about time we had another royal wedding and Prince William finally asked Kate Middleton the question.
I thought it was a lovely gesture that he chose his mother’s engagement ring to give her as he and his brother had a very special relationship with Princess Diana. I know you would be very proud of your son.
There was a very candid interview with William and Kate in which they were not afraid to tell us about their lives. It was different than when her mother and Prince Charles got engaged. He was very stiff and formal, while William and Kate seemed very relaxed and happy.
Prince William also explained why it took so long to propose to her. He said he wanted to give him plenty of time to back out! What a genuinely nice person he is. He knows what his mother went through, so he really wanted to make sure she knew what he was getting into. It also helped that they were friends for quite some time before getting involved with each other.
Kate is a beautiful woman and everyone will be eagerly waiting to see what her wedding dress will look like and what the entire bridal party will look like.
No one will be able to take the place of Princess Diana, but I have a feeling that Princess Katherine will make her, along with the rest of the royal family, very proud of her future accomplishments.
