Honda Motorcycle, the two-wheeler department of the Motor Company, began production in 1955. Today, Japan’s largest motorcycle manufacturer in India, Motorcycle is the second-largest manufacturer of two-wheelers.

Honda Motorcycle has a wide range of two-wheelers; the range consists of scooters, commuter motorcycles, sports bikes and high-end performance-oriented motorcycles.

Honda entered the Indian market in 1999. Honda Activa was the first scooter in the line to be launched. Honda Activa is the country’s first unisex variomatic scooter. This scooter not only attracted the fairer sex, but also the male population. After Activa, came Honda Dio and Eterno that were launched in quick succession. Honda’s first step into the motorcycle segment was with the Honda Unicorn.

After a long-term partnership with the Hero groups, Honda Motors decided to terminate the agreement and launch its own products in India. Honda expanded their range in the 100cc / 110cc segment with the Dream Series which has helped them hit the numbers.

The Shine series motorcycle is already crowned the world’s best-selling 125cc motorcycle. Honda CB Shine was launched in 2006 and has an Ergo Tec design. It is claimed to be one of the most successful bikes of this company, not only in India, but globally.

The Honda CB Trigger, a 150cc commuter bike, was released in 2013 to replace the Unicorn Sizzler. The Honda CB Trigger has an attractive appearance, good kilometers and good braking actions.

The CBF Stunner is an entry level semi faired bike from Honda India. The bike has been part of the Honda range for many years and is the most attractive 125cc bike in India.

The Dream series was launched by Honda Motors primarily to appeal to city commuters. Their bikes, the Dream Yuga and Dream Neo, are very popular with Indian travelers due to their low prices and build quality. The Honda CD 110 Dream is the cheapest Honda motorcycle available in India.

Currently the product portfolio includes many imported motorcycles such as VFR 1200 F, CBR 1000 RR, CB 1000 R, CBR 250 R. If you are ready to shell out money, there is the Honda CBR 150 which is available for Rs. 1.20 lakh and Honda CBR 250R available at a price of Rs 1.65 lakhs. Honda CBR 150 R returns a mileage of 45 kmpl on the highway and 32 kmpl in the city thanks to its fuel-efficient engine.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has three manufacturing plants in India. The first motorcycle factory in India is located in Manesar, Haryana. The second motorcycle plant is located in the Tapukara industrial zone in Rajasthan. The third motorcycle plant in India is located in Narsapura, Karnataka.
